Washington State University Vancouver will host a contemporary exploration of the ancient practice of taiko or Japanese drumming from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 29 in Firstenburg Student Commons on campus, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.

“Insatiable” immerses the audience in drumming, dance and voice in a full-length theatrical work. Performed by Unit Souzou from Portland, the program interprets life’s eternal hungers and desires, recurring cycles and the impact of these universal experiences and emotions.

Seating is limited for the free, public event. To RSVP, visit vancouver.wsu.edu/events and click on the March 29 event.

The program is sponsored by the Student Diversity Center and the Asian Pacific Islander Club at WSU Vancouver.
