So let me get this straight. Free speech in America is now only meant for a certain select group of citizens who believe their voice is the only one that should be heard in an election year. I didn’t get that memo.
That apparently was not the case in Chicago at a Donald Trump rally, where his supporters and others who wanted to hear what he had to say were refused that right to be heard when the protesters took over the arena in a massive attempt to shout him down. Silly me for thinking that while people have the right to protest, they do not have the right to prevent the other person’s free speech.
Interestingly, when a reporter asked two of the protesters why they were protesting Trump, both responses were similar to “I don’t have to say why, I don’t want to answer that.” Really? Just moments before they were certainly shouting to the sky their intent to stop Trump from speaking. If they were sincere, they would have been able to articulate their reasoning, if there was any.
After watching this egregious display of mob mentality, I thought that if the far-left groups hate Trump so much as to go to this extreme to stop him, he must be doing something right. He now has my vote.
