Hazel Dell — 8 year-old Elizabeth Hannah proved that generosity can come at any age when she donated $50 of her allowance to the nonprofit Bridge the Gap. Bridge the Gap is a community outreach program designed to improve the lives of abused and neglected children in Clark County by offering them access to enrichment programs. Elizabeth’s mother, Maggie, said that her daughter had been saving up her allowance for quite a while with the intention of donating her money to an organization that helps kids who are less fortunate than she is. “Elizabeth is beginning to understand not all children have the opportunities she has,” said Hannah. “She wants very much to help other children enjoy life, and to be able to do things like go skiing, take gymnastics, or play the piano.”
