Letter: Ticket the left-lane abusers

By Ron Kent, Vancouver
Published: March 23, 2016, 6:00am

As a salesperson who travels the Interstate 5 corridor in Washington multiple times per week, I really appreciate Washington State Patrol’s emphasis on getting the clueless left-lane hogs to move over, as reported in the March 18 story ” ‘Left-lane hogs’ targeted.”

Just the day before this story published, coming south on I-5, I had to pass on the right uncountable times. I even got followed in the left lane (while passing others) by a motorcycle WSP. After passing five to six cars, I pulled over and he went by, to soon pull over one of the clueless. I see road rage on virtually every trip on I-5 caused by these people.

Please keep up the emphasis, because it is not a small problem, it is a huge, dangerous issue. Keep up the great work, WSP, and pull ’em over and give them a significant ticket.
