BEND, Ore. — Construction of the new Oregon State University Cascades Campus is on track to allow the university to hold classes this fall.

The Bulletin reports that the university is on pace to hold inaugural classes on the 10-acre site when the fall semester begins. Construction crews are now working on the interior of the university’s 44,000-square-foot academic building, the first structure crews began building.

Though classes can begin in a number of months, the residence hall won’t be ready until winter 2017. Students who enroll for classes before then will be housed in an old dorm on Central Oregon Community College’s campus.
