Vancouver police are investigating a report of shots fired near Frenchman’s Bar on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 9600 block of Northwest Lower River Road at about 11 p.m. after multiple witnesses reported hearing about 30 rounds being fired in the area, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

No injuries were reported, though one woman said someone pointed a gun at her, Kapp said. The suspect she described was not located, Kapp said.

A group of officers spent several hours on scene sweeping the nearly mile-long beach for potential victims, suspects and evidence, Kapp said. Officers located spent handgun cartridge cases, Kapp said.

No shooting suspects were arrested, but several people unrelated to the shooting were arrested on outstanding warrants, Kapp said.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
