MILITARY CHALLENGE COIN RECIPIENTS

Alicia Brown of Vancouver and Teresa Nosack of Ridgefield were among 27 graduates presented with military challenge coins at WGU Washington’s graduation ceremony last month in Seattle. WGU Washington is an online university for current and past military members. More than 1,900 students in its 2016 graduating class earned bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

BASIC TRAINING

Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nathan R. Carssow, a 2015 graduate of Hockinson High School, completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. Carssow is the son of Jacqulyn and Michael Carssow of Brush Prairie.

Air Force Airman Amanda P. McLaughlin, a 2015 graduate of Union High School, completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. She is the daughter of Joab and Edith McLaughlin, and granddaughter of Silvia Herling, all of Vancouver.
