SEATTLE — Two May Day demonstrators have been charged with assaulting police officers during the protest in downtown Seattle.

A spokesman with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office says they are in the process of reviewing cases of at least four other protesters.

Authorities had said eight males and one juvenile female were arrested Sunday evening after an unpermitted anti-capitalist march turned violent. One person was arrested on a property destruction charges, five for obstruction and three on assault charges.
