Clark College brings writers to campus

Clark College’s Columbia Writers Series continues today and Thursday with free, public events on campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.

• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today in Penguin Union Building 161: Washington State Poet Laureate Tod Marshall will read from and discuss his work. His books of poetry include “Bugle,” “The Tangled Line” and “Dare Say.”

• 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. May 12 in Penguin Union Building 258A: Fiction writer Jim Shepard will read from and discuss his seven novels. His most recent, “The Book of Aron,” won the Sophie Brody Medal for Achievement in Jewish Literature from the American Library Association.
