Letter: Voters need to use common sense

I am appalled at the way this election is going. There is no respect for anyone, there is name calling, disgusting behavior and I, for one, am embarrassed to even say I am a voter.

I thought we were adults living in an adult world, here to show our young people how to conduct ourselves in today’s world. Everyone is throwing daggers at everyone, and I say this from the bottom of my heart, I cannot decide who is the lesser of two evils. Who do you vote for when there isn’t a candidate that makes any sense or cares about anyone but themselves?

It is disheartening and scary to think we may have a president of the United States who is repulsive to almost everyone and who has no agenda as to how he is going to make the country a better and safer place.

Hopefully by November there will be more common sense among both parties and we will get out of this mess with not so much doom and gloom. We need to bring back common sense. I pray we will do the right thing, whatever that is.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
