The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In December, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Aaron C. Johnston with unprofessional conduct. Charges say Johnston was fired from a senior living facility on suspicion of drug diversion.

In December, the Veterinary Board ended probation for veterinarian Michael L. Baker.

In January, the Social Worker Program charged licensed independent clinical social worker Nancy Skanchy with unprofessional conduct. Charges say she didn’t pay $500 in reimbursement or complete continuing education as required in a 2013 stipulation in connection with failure to report information to authorities.

In May 2015, the Nursing Assistant Program suspended the certified nursing assistant credential of Regina Ieisha Hurts for at least three years. In 2015, Hurts pleaded guilty to third-degree theft after stealing jewelry that belonged to a 90-year-old vulnerable resident of an assisted-living facility where she worked.
