Skamania County Emergency Medical Services will host its annual open house and street fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 253 S.W. First St. in Stevenson.

The event gives emergency responders from Skamania County and the Columbia River Gorge area a chance to showcase the services they provide and interact with the people they serve, according to Skamania County Emergency Medical Services.

The event starts with a helicopter landing by the Life Flight Network, and will continue with demonstrations by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office K-9 teams. Officials also will lead CPR classes throughout the day. Starting at noon, a recognition ceremony will honor emergency service personnel.

Hot dogs, beverages and other treats will be available from event sponsors, including A&J Select Market, Franz Bakery, Rock Cove Assisted Living and the Carson General Store.
