The Clark College baseball team has its back against the wall after losing its opening game of the NWAC East super regional to Tacoma, 7-0, on Friday at Ontario, Ore.

The Penguins (21-23) play a loser-out game at 11 a.m. today. Win that, and they play again at 2 p.m.

Clark was held to four hits and stranded six base runners.

Dig Merrell was 1 for 4 with a double for Clark. Parker Woodley and Kaden Betsch were also 1 for 4, and Marco Murillo was 1 for 3.

Tacoma (33-11) scored six runs in the third inning off Clark ace Chris Carns (4-4) and added one more run in the sixth.
