PORTLAND — Portland police say they’re investigating the death of a woman believed to be in her 30s as a homicide.

Portland police said in a news release that officers responded to an assault call Friday afternoon in the North Tabor neighborhood. Officers learned while responding that a woman was dead and a man had been injured.

Police say a man in his 50s was found outside a residence and taken to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.

Officers found the woman’s body inside.

Detectives say the two may have been involved in a domestic relationship and that the injured man is a person of interest in the woman’s death.

No other details were immediately available.
