Hough — A handful of students from Hough Elementary School teamed up with The Joy Team to put together packages of inspiring notes and treats to hand out to students and staff at Lincoln Elementary School. Hough students have spent October focusing on friendship. They delivered each student and staffer at Lincoln a Happy Packet, which included hand-drawn message by a Hough student, a Hershey’s Kiss, Jolly Rancher and a card from The Joy Team, a Vancouver-based nonprofit that looks to spread optimism and inspiration. The Happy Packets were put together by Hough’s Junior Joy Team, made up of about a dozen Hough students who meet with The Joy Team monthly to discuss what kids can do to experience more happiness in their lives and spread it to others.
