Letter: Here’s to autumn in Clark County

It seems people generally only speak up when something is wrong, but I wanted to write a letter of thanks. As I drive down Padden Parkway or around Fisher’s Landing, I am very thankful for the county and city workers who have added such beautiful landscaping along our streets.

Especially at this time of year when the maples and red oaks are showing off their fall colors — whether in the sun or against a dark gray sky — the colors are beautiful and make my day a little happier. I love the ivy turning red against the gray brick walls; how dreary those walls would be without it. They’ve done a wonderful job planting with such variety and seasonal interest. I love autumn in Clark County!
