Distracted driving is a huge problem. I’ve seen people of all ages, including truck drivers, apparently texting or on hand-held phones. Let’s make it simple: If caught by law enforcement or the cause of an accident, a $1,000 fine plus a one-month driver’s license suspension. On the second offense a $5,000 fine and six-month suspension, and so on.
