Dy’von Green rushed for 160 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as Skyview beat Chiawana of Pasco 38-28 to reach the Class 4A state quarterfinals.
Skyview will host Lake Stevens at Kiggins Bowl next weekend. A game time and day has not be set yet.
Skyview got out to a fast start, driving for touchdowns on its first two possessions of the game. Brody Barnum had a 4-yard touchdown run to put Skyview up 6-0. Cole Grossman caught a 27-yard TD pass from Barnum to make it 13-0 by the end of the first quarter.
The Storm took a 21-7 lead into half.
But the Riverhawks came out strong after the intermission.
Andrew Vargas, who finished with 245 yards on a whopping 41 carries, scored his second and third touchdowns of the game in the third quarter as Chiawana scored 21 points in the period to send the game into the fourth quarter tied 28-28.
