Letter: It’s time to move on

By Dennis Bourdeau, Vancouver

I am responding to Roy G. Wilson’s letter (“Trump voters trash American ideals,” Nov. 21) in which he calls all of us who voted for Donald Trump gullible, ignorant, uneducated, racist bigots, and implies that we hate the United States of America.

I, for one, do not fit Wilson’s profile, having a business degree and military service as an Army ranger.

Why is it that so many people want to paint the average American with a broad stroke of a brush? I have found that the “Wilsons” of this world usually have done very little to make this a better world and are usually uneducated and bigots.

It is time to move on, Americans. Stop reading the biased press, start healing and stop the hurting.

God bless America!
