Letter: Time for new leadership

The politicians who have had 20, 30, and 40 years to get it right, haven’t. We need changes to the way this country is run. The “good ol’ boys” era should end. With several recessions and trillions of dollars in debt, this country should benefit all legal Americans, not just them.

In his Nov. 21 letter, “Trump voters trash American ideals,” Roy G. Wilson belittles and degrades people and stirs up emotions that are already high enough. He has the right to vote for whomever he likes, but not to offend people and throw a fit in public. There is a nice way to express one’s opinion; he chose the angry way.

A lot of people are dissatisfied about the way things turned out, but we must do our best to accept it and give those elected a chance to prove themselves. The politicians have not done the job in the past decades.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
