Washougal — The Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance unveiled the latest public art piece in the city on Nov. 19.

The piece, “Golden Back Heron,” was created by Portland metal artist Tom Jackson and is at Washougal City Hall, 1701 C St., in the rain garden.

The sculpture is 3 feet tall and made with recycled metals. It is a gift to the city from the alliance. They found the piece when Jackson participated in the alliance’s Washougal Art Festival in August.
