Hough — The family of a Vietnam War veteran is asking for help repair his house that has fallen into disrepair. Jerry Bogstad, 66, has post-traumatic stress disorder and suffers from ailments associated with exposure to Agent Orange, according to his sister, Dianna Herrmann.

Bogstad’s wife suffers from dementia, MRSA and diabetes, and Jerry Bogstad is the one who takes care of her, Herrmann said.

He also has a history of helping out the homeless, she said. His house was damaged from a storm a few years ago, but Bogstad reportedly did not make the repairs and now cannot afford them, Herrmann said.

“He doesn’t ask for help, but he’s at the point that he needs help,” she said. Those interested in making a donation can do so at a donation page found by searching Jerry Bogstad on www.gofundme.com.
