Vancouver – A Vancouver company has applied to build a commercial marijuana growing operation on an industrial lot in the Fruit Valley neighborhood.

The project, called K-Nine Company Greenhouse on its application, proposes two 2,640-square-foot greenhouses and support space to total about 7,702 square feet at 2117 St. Francis Lane. The project is backed by Vancouver company Redd River LLC.

The building is designed for a state-licensed marijuana growing operation. It would include an 8-foot tall fence surrounding it.

A hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m., Nov. 17 in the Alder Conference Room at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth Ave. For more information, contact case manager Debbie Brenner at 360-487-7894 or by email debbie.brenner@cityofvancouver.us.
