Your Oct. 2 editorial, “In Our View: Re-Elect Herrera Beutler,” seems as weak as she is as my congressperson. You state she aligns with her district, but there’s no evidence of this. To endorse her because she’s not as combative as other Republicans uses a low standard. She is a very conservative voter when she votes. She has one of the worst voting percentages in the House, missing more than 15 percent of the votes. Her stance is to dismantle Obamacare, which has brought health care to about 20 million Americans. Her office has been unresponsive to my questions and recommendations. Jim Moeller has been approachable and responsive and his principles are clear. The 3rd Congressional District needs a leader to move ahead, not shirk from voting.
