LA CENTER — La Center is looking for a volunteer to represent the city on the Clark County Arts Commission for a term now through Dec. 31, 2017, after which the candidate will have the option to renew for a four-year term.

The commission promotes and supports arts in Clark County by fostering awareness of the arts, expanding accessibility to art in public places, and supporting collaboration among arts patrons, artists, businesses, service groups and cultural organizations. It also supports local artists and arts groups trying to secure grants and other financing.

Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest outlining qualifications to slevis@ci.lacenter.wa.us, by fax to 360-263-5700 or by mail to La Center City Hall, 214 E. Fourth St., La Center.
