Letter: Kaepernick wrong to sit

By Kai Christensen, VANCOUVER

I am a Boy Scout responding to the Aug. 29 story “Kaepernick’s decision to sit through anthem scrutinized.” I strongly disagree with Colin Kaepernick’s ridiculous decision to disrespect our great country. There are other ways to make his point and this is definitely not one of them. I don’t care who you are, you always need to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and give respect for the men and women who sacrifice everything to protect us everyday.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
