CENTRALIA — A man accused of harassing and threatening Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer is facing charges.

Sixty-one-year-old Dale Allen Paine was charged Wednesday with two counts of harassment and ordered held on $100,000 bail.

Thurston County Deputy Prosecutor Joseph Wheeler is representing the state because Meyer is the victim in the case.

Meyer told The Chronicle (http://bit.ly/2c48VAu) Paine has been calling his office almost daily since he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in 2013. Meyer says the charges were dropped in that case after Paine was found incompetent to stand trial.

Court documents allege Paine told Meyer he was going to send him “to be with his family” during a call in June. Meyer also reported in July that Paine said he would visit the prosecutor at the courthouse.
