Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is opening a new women’s clinic specializing in urogynecology. The clinic will be staffed by the two physicians who ran Aethena Gynecology in east Vancouver.

Drs. Virginia King and Lynn Osmundsen are closing their longtime private practice, which was one of the first urogynecology clinics in the region, and joining Legacy Medical Group. Aethena Gynecology has about 5,000 active patients.

The Legacy Medical Group Urogynecology Clinic will open Tuesday. The clinic is in suite 430 of the medical office building on the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center campus, 2121 N.E. 139th St. The phone number is 360-487-1414.

King and Osmundsen specialize in women’s health, focusing on the pelvic floor (the muscles that support the vagina, uterus, rectum and bladder).

The Legacy urogynecologists will see women of all ages, providing routine and specialized care for bladder control problems, bladder pain and cystitis, bowel control problems, uterine and vaginal prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections and sexual dysfunction.
