Portland – Pacific Northwest fuel prices continue to buck national trends, rising this week as national prices continue to fall, according to a survey by AAA. Average Vancouver prices for regular unleaded gasoline rose 2 cents to $2.54 a gallon, well over the national average of $2.17 a gallon but below the Washington statewide average of $2.68 a gallon — the third highest in the nation.

Gasoline prices in Portland also rose, climbing to $2.49 a gallon. Prices remain below year-ago levels of $2.77 in Vancouver and $2.68 in Portland.
