Portland – Portland mobile marketing company Urban Airship named two more California tech executives to spots on its leadership team Thursday.

Urban Airship named Scott Allen chief financial officer, replacing veteran Portland finance executive Mike Temple. Allen, like chief executive Brett Caine and half of Urban Airship’s executive team, is an alumnus of California software company Citrix.

Citrix also hired a new vice president of sales, Eric Holmen, who most recently held the same title at Invoca.

Urban Airship is among Portland’s best-funded young tech companies, raising $67.6 million altogether. It laid off 8.5 percent of its work force last month.

The new hires will split their time between Urban Airship’s headquarters in Portland and an office in San Francisco.

“Our executive team is only now nearly evenly split between San Francisco and Portland, which are both very important places to be for our size, company stage and market focus,” Urban Airship’s Corey Gault said Thursday.
