How Clark County college football players fared, Sept. 24

With all NCAA Division III Northwest Conference teams taking the week off, Sept. 24 was a relatively light Saturday for Clark County football players.

Still, several made an impact. Battle Ground grad Kevin Haynes had a team-high 10 tackles for Central Washington in a win over Dixie State.

Mountain View grad Ryan Johnson had six tackles and forced a fumble for Montana against Cal Poly.

And special teams specialists made a mark. Camas grad Roldan Alcobendas made a 44-yard field goal just before halftime as No. 4 Eastern Washington beat Northern Arizona. Nebraska freshman Caleb Lightbourn, also from Camas, had another solid punting performance for the No. 20-ranked Huskers.
