Letter: Both ideologies needed, but flawed

By Steve Rapalus, RIDGEFIELD

Both major political ideologies are infected with different but similar negative human behaviors.

Liberals have some good policies, but let laziness infect those programs. Conservatives have some good ideas, but let greed infect those programs. This leads to waste, fraud and abuse and enrages both sides. If the Left came down hard on those people that abuse their programs and if the Right would come down hard on the greed, we could get a lot done without overspending.

Contrary to what some radio talk show hosts claim, just ejecting one ideology from government will not get rid of both infections.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
