Prep highlights: Stimmel, Erickson lead La Center to win

Wildcats rally in four sets to beat Columbia-White Salmon

Maddie Stimmel had 16 kills and 13 digs, and Laynie Erickson added 14 kills, 10 digs and five aces as the La Center volleyball team rallied to beat Columbia-White Salmon in four sets.

The Wildcats won 16-25, 25-13, 25-7, 25-16.

Abby England had 25 digs, and Paige Rice added 19 assists for La Center, which improved to 2-0 in the Trico League.

• Jacob Abrahamson, Prairie golf, shot 1-over-par 37 to tie for medalist as the Falcons edged Kelso 156-159 at Three Rivers.

• Tyler Jones, Skyview boys golf, birdied three of the last four holes to shoot a 2-under 34 at Camas Meadows in a win over Camas.

• Ellie Walker, Columbia River girls soccer, scored all four Chieftains’ goals in a 4-1 win over R.A. Long.

• Riley McDonough, Seton Catholic girls soccer, scored two goals as Seton shut out Columbia of White Salmon 3-0.

• Kayla Fredricks, Woodland volleyball, had 12 kills, three blocks, 11 defensive saves and was 12 for 12 serving in the 3-0 win over Hockinson.

• Julia Sprowls, King’s Way Christian volleyball, had 14 kills, three aces and two digs in a 3-0 win over Stevenson.

• Abby Wilmington, Columbia River volleyball, had 13 kills and four aces as the Chieftains beat R.A. Long.

• Baylei Williams, Washougal volleyball, had nine kills, eight digs and two aces in a win over Mark Morris.

• Hannah Mixon, Hudson’s Bay girls soccer, had two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over Fort.

• Ellie Johnson, La Center girls soccer, had four goals in the Wildcats’ 6-1 win over Stevenson.

• Bailee McMahon, Mountain View girls soccer, scored the game’s lone goal on an assist from Lilah Favour as the Thunder beat Kelso 1-0.

• Jessie Larson, Washougal girls soccer, saved two penalty kicks in the tiebreaker as the Panthers beat Mark Morris 4-3 after playing to a scoreless draw.

• Alivia Quitugua, Hockinson girls soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Woodland.
