Letter: Stonier is strong advocate

By Andrew Hill, VANCOUVER
Published: September 30, 2016, 6:00am

I first met Monica Stonier five years ago when I enrolled in Pacific Middle School. I was shy, like most eighth-graders, but her warm attitude helped welcome me to my fearsome new school. Stonier has acted as a mentor to me — holding me accountable for my academic success, helping me achieve my goals, and supporting me throughout my life. Seldom have I met a soul as genuine, intelligent, and strong as Monica Stonier; I am lucky to have her as a role model. I hope to see her in Olympia to advocate for our community.
