Winterhawks lose to Everett 3-1

Everett’s Graham Miller scored the go-ahead goal with 13.2 seconds to play in the second period as the Silvertips handed the Portland Winterhawks their first loss of the season, 3-1 on Friday at the Memorial Coliseum.

Caleb Jones scored Portland’s goal at 15:48 in the first period to tie the game at 1-1.

Prior to the game, Keegan Iverson was named the Winterhawks captain. Alternate captains are Jones, Keoni Texeira and Colton Veloso.
