Body discovered at Dougan Falls

The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death after discovering a man’s body near the Dougan Falls Bridge.

Police were dispatched at about 9:10 a.m. Saturday for a report of a body over the embankment near the bridge. Deputies responded and found the body of a white adult man, according to a Skamania County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The cause and manner of death are not yet known, but the incident is being investigated as “suspicious in nature,” according to the news release. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.

Dougan Falls is about 17 miles northeast of Washougal.
