The Vancouver/Clark County Telecommunications Commission, a volunteer group that advises local governments on telecom matters, is set to review Comcast Cable’s performance next week.

The eight-member commission reviews the cable company’s performance every two years, as stipulated by the company’s 10-year franchise agreement with local governments.

The review will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 12 at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St.

Officials say local subscribers should give their input.

“Cable television subscribers are encouraged to give us their feedback about how they think Comcast is doing by either calling in live during the hearing or by sending their comments to us in writing,” said Paul Dicker, vice chair of the commission.

Comments will be accepted for a month after the hearing and can be mailed to City/County Cable Television Office, P.O. Box 1995, Vancouver, WA 98668 or by emailing tracie.looney@cityofvancouver.us.
