Heavy storm drenches county

Hail, lightning, wind, downpours expected to last through this evening

Heavy showers, lightning, hail and winds with gusts near 50 mph are striking Clark County this afternoon.

The bad weather was spotted on Doppler radar moving toward Clark County from Oregon, according to a statement released at 3:10 p.m. by the National Weather Service in Portland.

Conditions could persist the rest of the afternoon. Cloud to ground lightning strikes, heavy downpours and gusty winds are possible, according to the weather service.
