Esther Short — FISH of Vancouver celebrated some of its dozens of volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation event on April 8. Special recognition was given to Alice Davies, Rich Sherburne, George Kaufer, Wendy Bukoski, Dick Kunkle, Bill Dowd, Vicki Ashton, Kelly Bettger, Bea Howell and Paul Fischl. In 2015-2016, FISH volunteers donated more than 20,000 hours and distributed nearly 500,000 pounds of food from the FISH food pantry and clothes closet. The FISH food pantry is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information about FISH, visit www.fishvancouver.org.
