Local tattoo artist earns award for pirate-themed work

Washougal — Travis Hedlund took home Tattoo of the Day honors at the One Nation Under Ink Tattoo Convention, held March 31 through April 2 at the Little Creek Casino and Resort in Shelton. Hedlund is one of the tattoo artists at 3rd Heart Tattoo, 1830 Main St., Washougal, which opened in October 2014. This is Hedlund’s first award in his seven-year career, according to Ryan “Boomer” Boomhower, owner of 3rd Heart.
