Trevor Swartz’s bases-loaded walk-off RBI single drove in Payton Monda to give Evergreen a 3-2 victory over Hudson’s Bay in eight innings in Wednesday’s 3A Greater St. Helens League baseball game.

Monda drew three walks, but also stole three bases and the game-winning run from third base.

The victory pushes first-place Evergreen to 9-2 in league, 10-4 overall. Bay drops to 3-8 in league, 5-9 overall.

Josh Hibbard, Evergreen’s starting pitcher who struck out five over four innings in the no-decision, was 1-for-4, as was Nate Tomas.

Carter Morse and Carter Stephens each had two hits for the Eagles.

Evergreen will play at Mountain View (9-3 in the 3A GSHL) on Thursday. Kelso is in third place at 7-3.
