Portland – Southbound Interstate 5 will be closed in the Rose Quarter of Portland for four nights beginning Monday while workers repair parts of the Elliot Street Bridge that span that freeway.

The southbound night closures will happen between Interstate 405 and the Wheeler onramp from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly beginning Monday until 5 a.m. Friday.

The North Greeley onramp to southbound I-5 will be closed during the weeknight closures.

Travelers will use I-405 southbound over the Fremont Bridge and reconnect with I-5. Travelers heading to Interstate 84 should use I-405 southbound to I-5 northbound to I-84 eastbound.

This project is separate from the full weekend closures of I-5 northbound lanes between the Marquam Bridge and North Broadway, and starts at 10 p.m. Friday and will run until 4:30 a.m. May 8 and again during May 12-15. That closure is for maintenance work on the Burnside Bridge.
