Northwood — For the second straight year, Clark County Special Olympics Washington and Reside Residential Care hosted a softball tournament. It took place July 22 at David Douglas Park. This year’s tournament nearly doubled the number of competing teams and doubled the amount of money raised. The tournament consisted of 16 games, and athletes pitched in all throughout the tournament, acting as emcees, umpires, coaches, scorekeepers and vendors who sold T-shirts and food.
