Woodland asks residents to limit water use

Woodland is experiencing a “low flow” situation at the Ranney pump house and is asking residential water customers to limit water use to inside households, the city announced shortly before 10 a.m. today.

The notice from the city also asks construction crews to limit water use on “any non-essential use for construction.”

Mike Peterson with the city’s water plant said it’s a mechanical issue that can hopefully be repaired today. When reached about 10 a.m., he said someone would be there shortly to check it out.

Peterson said it could be an issue with Lewis River being low but he wasn’t sure yet.

He’s hopeful the problem will be fixed today, and the city can run the pumps all night to get water to the filter plant and everything could be back to normal by Friday.

Any residents with questions can contact Woodland Public Works at 360-225-7999.
