Vancouver Public Schools will host a festival to help families prepare to send their children back to school.

The “Go Ready! Back-to-School-Readiness Festival” runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hudson’s Bay High School, 1601 E. McLoughlin Blvd. The event is free.

The festival will feature food, entertainment, activities and information about school resources. There will also be free immunizations, haircuts and used clothing available.

Families will be able to register their children for school, get information about bus routes, apply for free and reduced-price lunches and meet representatives from the district’s Family and Community Resource Centers, which organized the festival.

VPS students return to school on Aug. 30.
