A man was shot at a Camas home Wednesday evening, and detectives are investigating the circumstances.

A caller had reported a man and a woman were arguing when the shooting occurred.

Officers arrived to find the wounded man in front of the home. He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver where he was in serious but stable condition two hours after the shooting, according to a police news release.

Detectives were still trying to sort out what happened, and hadn’t announced any arrests. Washougal police and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office assisted Camas officers at the scene.
