Letter: Eclipse? Meh

By Valerie Wheeler, VANCOUVER
Published: August 23, 2017, 6:00am

I thought the eclipse was sort of a nonevent. It hardly got dark at all, and I saw all the usual birds and squirrels in my yard and they weren’t acting any different. The only thing that was different was that I lost cellphone coverage from a little after 10 a.m. until about 12:45 p.m. I’m glad I didn’t bother to get glasses for it and got some yard work done instead.
