Klamath Falls, Ore. – Oregon officials will honor two brothers from Klamath Falls who died while fighting in the Vietnam War by adding their names to highway signage.
The Herald and News reported the Committee on Memorials and Remembrance announced that it will dedicate memorial highway signage to four Oregon families who lost two children in the Vietnam War, including the Evans family of Klamath Falls. Younger brother David Lynn Evans died in 1968 in an air crash on a landing at the age of 19. His brother, Norman Francis Evans, also died in an air crash two years later.
The committee is still looking for funding to complete the Evans memorial signs, which will be placed near their childhood home.
