Letter: Nothing can eclipse Jesus

Which side am I on, the protest signs ask? The anger that is portrayed on “both sides” is very detrimental to our children.

On the left, protests early on set the boundaries that everyone on the right is wrong. They continue to chase President Donald Trump and his family to, hopefully, find something, anything, illegal. Add the sanitization of American history while their elected officials chase Marxism.

On the right are extremist groups full of hate for everyone, perhaps even themselves. A president who has trouble speaking presidentially and lies as most presidents have of late. An elected Congress that does little, if anything, for the American people.

There is only one side. That total solar eclipse we saw on Monday was possible because of God. The way the moon fit between the earth and the sun perfectly. I believe this is his reminder for us that he made it. In this fast-paced technological time, we have forgotten him and his son. We seek happiness from a world that only gives us grief. I’m on the side of Christ. Do we want to be happy? In the words of a wiser man than I: Nothing can eclipse Jesus.
