Cowlitz County deputies travel to Las Vegas to arrest couple

LONGVIEW — Cowlitz County authorities have arrested a Las Vegas couple accused of scamming people nationwide out of $430,000.

The couple is accused of telling victims a virus would kill off all the data in their computer unless they paid them to repair it.

The Daily News reported Wednesday that a Cowlitz County woman was hit badly by the scam, having lost $35,000.
